I made a loom, using a wooden picture frame. I hammered small nails along the top and bottom front surface areas on the frame. Voila! instant loom. Here's what I made with it:
I wove two panels and sewed them together. Then I cut a chenille scarf in strips and braided it to make the shoulder strap.
Modern Boho:
There's a senior center in my area. They just launched their flea market. I'm going over there to donate this to their fundraising effort.
In case you're interested, they are at the Chavez Senior Residence in Brooklyn; on Sterling and Kingston (right across from Jenny's Coffee Shop). Here are some other things I'm taking over there.
You should stop on by and buy!

From my 4 Harness floor loom. Workshop model.
I did this last winter and donated it to Sue Rock. (Check out her blog).
She was giving away yarn and fabric scraps. She and her husband design and construct garments and donate them to families who are moving from shelters and are starting over.
This is a close-up of the pattern. I didn't log it. I promise to try and remember to log the next one. (warning! I did several things last winter that are not logged.) So, I really mean the NEXT time.
Please open a dialog with me and others about your weaving adventures. Subscribe and be a WARPED SISTER (OR BROTHER).
